Timeline

This post is dedicated to my timeline of my signature project. By organizing this timeline monthly on my project, it will help me guide through each month, and help me stay on track. This timeline will also change as I am working on my project, but I will upload a de-briefing of each month to keep track of my steps, and identify what plan I have ahead of time.

My goals for each month (September - May) follows:

September: Getting an idea what my project will look like as I progress through the processes.

October: Creating a digital portfolio using Wix, and editing and layouting the portfolio. Creating a poster for my signature program, and deciding what initial questions I will be answering.

November: I will be gathering sources and information that are relevant to my project. I will also be gathering information that could aid and guide me through answering my initial question.

December: Collecting information from my liaison, and researching what refugees and immigrants have accomplished in society, and finding examples from refugees found big companies.

January: Seeking answers about my question, and what other possible benefits they might cause in the society and economically with my liaison. Discussing whether they affect the US economy more in long term or short term.

February: Collecting statistical data; gathering the information about numbers of immigrants and refugees and the GDP of the time, taking consideration of the other outside factors. After collecting the information, checking in with my liaison if the information interpreted are correct.

March: Finding examples of immigrant founded companies. What benefits do they bring to the United States? For example, productivity and labor market competitions.

April: Drawing conclusions from the research and the statistical models or statistical information that I have interpreted. Stating how both groups bring in benefits that are visible and invisible.

May: Creating final portfolios, posts, posters, videos, articles or promotion about my project, and thinking about continuing my signature program based on my Junior year’s research and datas. “How/ What can I do to break the stigma and stereotypes associated with refugees and immigrants?”
